Hello UTEA! Hope you’re enjoying the refreshing October weather.
UTEA is involved in many activities.
Here’s an update on what we do and how to participate.
September: The UTEA PRIDE/FAST committee is very active and was busy participating in the:
Mayor’s 5k
Hispanic Heritage Festival
Rotary Family Fitness Day
October: Just this past weekend, the Parsonage Project started up again with Battle Hill Day & Connecticut Farms Day. Stay tuned because we have dates for your school, too. Other activities to get involved in are:
October 23: Jefferson School Trunk or Treat
October 23: UCEA Members 4 Murphy Fall Festival
October 30: ADK Yoga in the Park
November: November 2nd is another PD day, and it is Election Day – remember to VOTE! Everything about our profession is legislated. If you live in Union, the UTEA has endorsed Kimberly Scott-Hayden for the Board of Education election. And, the NJEA endorsed candidates, Murphy, Cryan, Quijano & Atkins, need your help. Volunteer right after the PD day at any of the schools to hand out flyers.
The NJEA Convention is live once again, and UTEA Social Committee will be there!! Join us on Thursday, November 4th from 3 to 6pm @ Land Shark in Atlantic City.
